He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Mary Byrd; his granddaughter Melissa Martinez; his brothers, Roy Dean Byrd and Raymond Douglas Byrd; his parents, Roy Byrd and Edith Elena Byrd (Biddle); his children, D. Wayne, Floyd (Dawn Byrd), Deborah J. Byrd of Flynn and Elaine (Andy Millican); and his grandchildren, Heather, Heidi, Britta, Braden, Richie, Brent and Brandon. He was also cherished by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
