It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Neil Reed of Chalk, Texas, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rayford and Verline Louise Derrett Reed; his wife Linda Sue Bennett; his sister Donna Sue Liles; and his brother-in-law Phil Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Davidson (Edwin) and Vernon Reed (Michelle); his sister Janie Harris; his brother-in-law Eddie Liles; his mother-in-law Wilma Bennett; and his grandsons, James Davidson (Holly), John Davidson and Caleb Reed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Baptist Church (10522 Farm to Market Rd 2011, Longview, TX 75603). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Chalk Hill Cemetery (16700 FM 1716, Henderson, TX 75652).
