He was predeceased by : his parents, Buell Courter and Lora Courter (Wallace); his wife Bettie Fortson Scott; and his siblings, Bill, JC Courter and Catherine Swank.
He is survived by : his children, Lynette Rogers (Jay) and Brian Courter (Rosalind); his sister Fern Allison; his grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers (Simone Flottman-Rogers), Sara Glatter (Frank Castillo) and Thomas Glatter; his great grandchildren, Djuna Rogers, Jonah Rogers and Cohen Castillo; his siblings-in-law, Laurita Kuehl and Bill Leach; and his pet Kitty-Cat. He is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
