He was predeceased by: his parents, Joaquin Anchondo and Maria Gutierrez; his granddaughters, Irene Richard and Sofia Castillo; and his siblings, Joaquin Anchondo, Maria Anchondo, Luz Elena Anchondo, Delfina Anchondo, Zeferino Anchondo and Martin Anchondo.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Anchondo (Chihuahua); his children, Leticia Anchondo (Freddy Chavez), Jessica Anchondo (Jorge Gomez), Rocio Anchondo (Manuel Castillo) and Rafael Anchondo (Ariel Porras); his brothers, Jose Anchondo (Maria Antonia), Luis Anchondo (Yolanda Nunez) and Alejandro Anchondo; and his grandchildren, Jovanni, Daniel, Julian, Kayla, Manuel, Sashel, Natalia, Jacynia, Alexa, Gael, Julieta and Joaquin. He is also survived by his two great-grandchildren.
