She was predeceased by: her parents, Anita Valadez Martinez and Ysidoro G. Martinez; her son Magdaleno "Mo" Torres; and her grandson Jaymes Torres. She is survived by: her husband Rudy Cantu.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119). A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (101 W Arenoso St, Runge, TX 78151).
