She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Jake Horne and Virilla Pearson Horne; her husband Bennie Ray Moody; her son Robert D. Jenkins, Jr.; and her sisters, Essie Taylor and Doretha Mack.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Hatchett-Nays (Yumi), Jerry Jenkins (Celeste) and Gregory Jenkins; and her sisters, Annie Lou Ellis and Catherine Turner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt Carmel Baptist Church (2920 State Hwy 3, Dickinson, TX 77539). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Forest Park East Cemetery (21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598).
