He was predeceased by: his parents, William Reed and Rosemary Reed (Davis); his son Justin "Trigger" Reed; and his brothers, Wayne, Tommy and Carl Reed.

He is survived by: his former wife Deborah Camille Vander Beets; his wife Debbie Reed of Chico; his son Colton Reed of Chico; and his siblings, Linda Hock of Tyler, Laurie Reed of Fort Worth and David Reed (Donna) of Irving. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and the United Brothers.
