He was predeceased by : his parents, Ed Drew and Goldie Drew (Teller); and his siblings, Loretta Drew, Ella Drew, Charles Drew and Carl Drew.

He is survived by : his wife Ethel Drew (McLemore); his siblings, Gletta Mae Sanders of Ft. Worth, Norma Jean Drew of Oklahoma City, OK., Edward Drew of Estelline and Phillip James "Uncle Phil" Drew of Childress; his children, Janet Hunter, Lisa Ann Drew, Donald Junior Drew, James Ray Drew, Ray Don Drew, Joe Dixon, Goldie Drew, Ronald Ray Drew and Isaiah Drew; his stepchildren, Mae Jean Rankins, Jessie Rankins, Joe Williams, Willie Drew and Delores Drew; and his goddaughter Valetta Jones. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
