He was predeceased by : his parents, Dorateo Vitela and Guadalupe Vitela. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Vitela of Childress; his children, Mary Ann Vitela of Abilene, Samuel Vitela Jr. (Ashlee) of Wichita Falls and Deborah Vitela of Lubbock; and his stepson Craig Littleman (Lauren) of White Deer.
