He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Haynes and Laura Jane Thomas Haynes; and his brother David Haynes. He is survived by: his daughters, Katie Haynes (Blake Bivins) and Lauren Haynes (Noel Danner); his stepson Ric Clarkson of Aledo, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Kaden Hall, Leeana Hall, Kashdon Bivins, Trace Clarkson and Crue Clarkson.

Memorials can be given to the Chillicothe Volunteer Fire Department.
