He was predeceased by : his parents, Bill Patton and Gay Patton; his daughter Samantha Joe Patten; his brother Dennis Ray Patton; and his grandparents, Ruby and Andrew Patton.

He is survived by : his wife Doris Patton; his children, Amanda Jeffcoat, Shelby Patten and Joshua Patton; his sisters, Debbie Hazel (Gene) and Dena Walters (Billy); and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Eddins (Heather), Michael Eddins and Jim Prosperie. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
