He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bennett and Mary Elnora Bailey. He is survived by: his wife Yong Hassell; and his sons, Billy and Charles.

A committal service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 10:50 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
