Amanda Delores McCurry Obituary
Amanda Dolores McCurry, age 75, passed away peacefully at her son Ron's home in Haslet, Texas, surround by her family. She was born on December 13, 1949, in Giddings, Texas, to Theodore Winfield Ziehr and Ella Amanda Prellop. Amanda graduated from Giddings High School in 1968. Amanda married Milton Ernest Hoffman June 6, 1968, and together they had two sons. For the last 30 years, she shared her life with her beloved partner, Raul Rosales Vazquez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Winfield and Ella Amanda (Prellop) Ziehr; her maternal grandparents, Ernest Gerhardt and Martha Marie (Zoch) Prellop, and paternal grandparents George John and Hulda Emilie Amelia (Medack) Ziehr; and her uncles, Johnny Henry and Herbert Ziehr.
Survivors include her devoted partner Raul Rosales Vazquez; sons Michael Ray Hoffman and wife Cheryl and their children Sean and Autumn of Crowley. Ronald Wayne Hoffman and wife Kim of Haslet and their children Heather (husband Gage Hernandez) of Eula, Hannah, Trevor of Haslet, Ian stationed in California and great-grandchildren Haiden and Holden Hernandez.
Her legacy also lives on through extended family and many dear friends.
For the past 30 plus years, Amanda worked for Artesia Main Menu Covers, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in gardening, cooking, farming, reading, working puzzles and shopping. Her warmth and love of simple pleasures will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Pallbearers include Raul Rosales Vasquez, her sons: Michael Ray Hoffman, Ronald Wayne Hoffman, and her grandsons: Sean Michael Hoffman, Trevor Wayne Hoffman, and Jonathan Gage Hernandez.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 18, 2025, at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home in Cisco. Amanda's life will be honored in a service at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery where family and friends will gather to celebrate the woman she was and the love she gave so freely.
Amanda will be deeply missed by all.
