Billy Carroll Cozart Obituary
Billy Carroll Cozart of Cisco passed from this life Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Ranger Care Center, where he was loved and cared for by his caretakers.
Billly was born June 1, 1946 in Eastland to Vernon "PeeWee" and Vivian Weis Cozart. He was a graduate of Cisco High School and Cisco Junior College. He served two years in the United States Army. He was a master plumber and a cowboy. He served over 25 years on the Cisco Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of East Cisco Baptist Church and the Cisco Riding Club.
He married Judy Ann Reynolds on May 16, 1969, and the couple made their home in Cisco. Billy loved his family and friends, and the cowboy way of life.
He was preceded in death by parents and sister JoAnn Cozart.
Survivors include wife Judy Cozart of Cisco; son Jim Bob Cozart and wife Jessica of Eastland, and daughter Billie Jo Simmons and husband Gary of Gordon; brother Mac Cozart and wife Joyce; sisters Pam Cozart and Patty Cozart; grandchildren Garrett, Reagan and Riggin Cozart and Caden, Cutter, Rode and Payton Simmons; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A visitation honoring Billy's life will be held Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Kimbrough-Jacobs Funeral Home, 300 W. 9th Street in Cisco.
The family suggests donations in Billy's honor to the Cisco Fire Department and Cisco College Rodeo Team.
