Charles Cross Obituary
Charles Aubrie Cross of Cisco passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born August 27, 1938 in Lamesa to Aubrie Bell and Charlie Mae Johnson Cross, Charles attended Cisco public schools and East Texas State College in Commerce. He earned his Masters in English at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. He taught English at Cisco Junior College.
He liked to tell stories and talk about current events. He was often complimented by friends and acquaintances for his resonant radio broadcasting voice.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrie and Charles Mae Cross, and his sister, Nancy Cross Farley-Coulthard.
He is survived by daughter Julianne Cross Masterson and husband John and their son Nicholas Masterson of Carrollton; Julianne's mother Julie White of Krugerville; nephews Steve Farley of Ft. Collins and Joe Farley and wife Astrid of Horseshoe Bay.
Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco.
The family suggests donations to the Oakwood Cemetery Association.
