Glen Frederick Nicks Obituary

With deep sorrow and faith in God's eternal promises, we announce that Glen Frederick Nicks, age 77, of Cisco, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2025.

Glen was born on January 25, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Buster Glen and Miriam (Nelrich) Nicks. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and a faithful servant of Christ throughout his life.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cisco, where he served faithfully as a deacon. His life was a testimony of service and love. Glen lived out his faith through his involvement at his church, as a father to eight, and as a grandfather to thirteen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, and children Hannah (Nicks) Mize, and her husband Shane of Pflugerville, Texas, and their children Grace, Gibson, Hayden and Landry; Miriam (Nicks) Pieprzyca, and her significant other, Mickey Renfro, of Odessa, Texas; Benjamin Nicks of Cross Plains, Texas; Daniel Nicks and his wife Naomi, of Cross Plains, Texas and their children Nolan and Darby; Esther (Nicks) Ferre, and husband Trevor Ferre of Dallas, Texas and their children Luke, James, and Elizabeth; Rebekah (Nicks) Grace and husband Graham Grace of Fort Worth, Texas and their children Grant and Harper; Thomas Nicks and wife Sterlyng of Minturn, Colorado and their children Harlynn and Rayanne; Judith Nicks, and husband Orkhan Ismayilov of Fort Worth, Texas. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth (Nicks) Taylor and husband Mike of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and reunited in heaven with his parents Buster and Miriam Nicks.

A celebration of Glen's life will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Cisco, officiated by Gary Turner. Burial will follow at Dothan Cemetery.

Colossians 1:15-16. The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to First Baptist Church of Cisco Children's Ministry in memory of Glen.
