Huree Marsh Obituary

Huree (Uncle) Marsh, 76, of Cisco, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2026.

Born on December 4, 1949, Huree lived a life defined by quiet strength, generosity, and a steadfast willingness to help anyone who needed him. He was the true salt‑of‑the‑earth kind of man — dependable, humble, and always ready to lend a hand without expecting anything in return.

Huree was the beloved husband of Carmel Carlos, with whom he shared a life full of love, partnership, and devotion.

He was born to Velma and Bennie Marsh, who proceeded him in death. He is survived by his siblings Sherman Marsh, Alvin Marsh, Marvin Marsh, Berniece Marsh, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many more.

Huree is also survived by his children: Pam and her husband Teddy of Abilene, Joel of Cisco, Krissy and her husband James of Rule, and Kathlene of Cisco.

He leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, friends, and work family, all of whom adored him and carry pieces of his kindness and steady presence in their hearts.

He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, great‑nieces and great‑nephews, and numerous cousins, each of whom felt the impact of his generosity, humor, and unwavering loyalty.

Huree spent many years as a truck driver, a job he took pride in and one that reflected his steady nature and strong work ethic. After retiring from trucking, he continued working on the road as a pilot car driver, guiding others safely along their routes. It was during this work — doing what he had done for so much of his life — that he ultimately passed away.

To his family and friends, Huree was more than a son, father, husband, brother, grandfather, friend— he was the center of their universe. He never realized just how deeply he anchored their world, but he did.

He was what one would call a true cowboy — a man who never stopped, who lived life to the fullest, always ready with a smile and a joke. A little mean and hard around the edges, maybe, but with a heart of pure gold.

Huree's legacy lives on in the countless people he helped, the family who cherished him, and the quiet, unwavering goodness he carried through every day of his life. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
