Wanda Blackwell Berry Obituary

Wanda Marie Blackwell Berry of Cisco went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the age of 90.

Wanda was born March 14, 1935 in Putnam to Burl and Myrtle Short Reed. She was the youngest of seven children. She married Bobby Blackwell in 1950, and they were together 58 years before he preceded her in death in 2008. She later married Ralph Berry, who preceded her in death in 2021.

She was a member of Nimrod Baptist Church.

In addition to husbands Bobby and Ralph, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Myrtle Short Reed, brothers Alvin, Elvie and Vernon Reed, and sisters Dorothy Wink, Audene Whiteley and Nelda Gary.

She is survived by her daughter Gail Roberts and husband Gary of Cisco, sons Ray Blackwell and wife Kathy of Collinsville and Sam Blackwell, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 48 great great-grandchildren and many extended family.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery, with Bill Armstrong and Walter Pope officiating.
