We announce the death of Alvin Slimp of Cleburne, Texas, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 94. Alvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kemp Lowe Slimp and Cordelia Teal Slimp; and his siblings, Kemp Lowe Slimp Jr., Bobby Eugene Slimp, Edwin Lowe Slimp, Little Sue Slimp and Opal Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Slimp; his daughters, Rebecca Jo Norman and Judy Ann Slimp; his grandsons, Justin Colt Gibson and Ryan Daniel Norman; his great grandchildren, Dean Logan Norman, Waylon James Norman, Travis Frost Norman and David Judah Norman; and his sisters, Shirley Rochford (Larry) and Joan Buzkirk (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless dear friends.
