She was predeceased by: her son Wyndell Speer; her grandsons, Christopher Speer and Gary Thomas Speer, Jr.; and her parents, Frank Timmons and Lou Etta Timmons (Wooley).
She is survived by: her husband James Speer; her children, Deborah Rice (Ronnie), Gary Thomas Speer and John Henry Speer; her siblings, Imagene English and Marshall Timmons (Madeline); and her grandchildren, Roy Rice (Tracie), Robin Hardin (Jason), Sarah Speer, Jennifer Braswell (Bubba), Sandra Speer and John Speer (Hillary). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
