He was predeceased by: his wife Darla Johnson; his son Jimmy Johnson; and his parents, J. C. Johnson and Iva Brand. He is survived by: his daughter Shari Kennedy (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Tammy Johnson-Mayo; his grandchildren, Brittany Taylor (Dustin), John Remington Johnson-Mayo (Ashley), Jacob Kennedy (Amber), Kendall Norris (Rodney) and Mayo (Tatianna) of Texas; and his great grandchildren, Kenzie, Cash, Kambrie, Maverick and Kolbie Taylor.
The family request that memorial donations be made to Bono Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 6349 Bono Road, Bono, TX 76044, in lieu of flowers floral tributes for the service.
