He is survived by: his children, Alma Lira (Rodolfo), Eleazar Mendoza (Juana), Maribel Cruz (Ramon), Abel Mendoza Jr., Henry Mendoza, Sonia Mascarenas (Rodney), Lizbeth Mendoza (Alvaro Alvarez) and Anahi Mendoza (Tyler Day); his grandchildren, Brenda, Melissa, Isabel, Adriana, Antonio, Ricky, Shimika, Jose, Emily, Mario, Ricardita, Mateo and Ximena; and his great grandchildren, Penelope Rose, Elianna, Juliana, Esmae Rose, Mykala, Ernestine, Kinzlee, Azel and Via. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home (512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033). A rosary was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (807 N Anglin St, Cleburne, TX 76031).
