She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Virgil Blackwell and Vera Blackwell (Keenum); her husband George Washington Mears; and her stepson George Mears. She is survived by: her children, Charles Mears (Vicki Walton), Ethel Homan (Randy) and Leon Mears; her grandchildren, Cassandra Zopp, April Miller, Katy Walton, Zackary Walton, Christopher Homan and Kyle Mears; her stepgrandchildren, George Mears, Jimmy Mears, Jake Mears and Chet Mears; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Zopp, Kathleen Zopp, Matthew Zopp and Mason Miller.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Brazos Point Cemetery (56 FM Rd, Kopperl, TX 76652).
