He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Leona Robinson (Hadley) and Modell Robinson; his daughter Rhonda Adcock; his son-in-law Steven Steele; and his siblings, Donald Robinson, Melvin Robinson, Nona Valero and Flossie Robinson.

He is survived by: his wife Johnnie Robinson; his children, Kenneth Robinson (Jaye Robinson), Renay Steele, Sarah Crow (Wes Crow), Paula Butler (David Butler) and Wanda Bullard (Chris Bullard); his son-in-law Kenny Adcock; his sister-in-law Lana Robinson; and his brothers, Tommy Robinson, Alvin Robinson (Sylvia Robinson), Donnie Robinson (Glenda Robinson), Ronnie Robinson (Kay Robinson), Rickey Robinson (Carol Robinson) and Johnny Robinson (Debbie Robinson). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in lieu of floral tributes for the service.
