He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Ortiz; his son Tony Ortiz (Yvette); his stepsons, Justin Woods (Angela Lynne) and Benjamin Woods (Misti Sue); his grandchildren, Jesse Marchman, Meela Rose Woods, Benji Lane Woods, Emma Lynne Woods, Elliot Andrew Woods and Eliana Faith Woods; his daughters, Darcy Force and Lydia; his foster children, Scott and Gina; his niece Maria Higginbotham; his nephews, Carlos Ortiz, Luis Ortiz, Samuel Ortiz, Juan Ortiz, Ofel Ortiz and Gilbert Hernandez; his aunt Alicia Vera; and his cousins, Ruth Hubbard and Lucy Breshears.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home (512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Keene Seventh-Day Adventist Church (114 N Fairview St, Keene, TX 76059). A burial was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at the Keene Memorial Park (301 Pioneer Dr, Keene, TX 76059).
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Old Glory for Old Betsy in care of Keene Chamber of Commerce, Community Service or the Media Ministry, both of Keene Seventh Day Adventist Church.
