He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Mae Waggoner Post and George Madison Post; and his brother Bobby Duane Post. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Christina Lee Post Fisher; his granddaughter Kaylea; and his family, Teresa Kaye Jeane Edwards, Christopher, Jacquelyn, Lexi, Kate and Brody.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church. A burial was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brookside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Caring Hearts Ministries at First Methodist Church, 100 N. William Barnett Avenue, Cleveland, Texas 77327.
