He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Nowlain and Una Mae Green Nowlain; his brother George Nowlain; and his grandson Christopher Ross Reid. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Carnes Nowlain; his children, Teresa Reid of Clifton, Texas, Cindy Forsythe (Braden) of Spring, Texas, George Nowlain (Alison) of Richmond, Texas, Richard Nowlain (Sandie) of Meridian, Texas, Valerie Stegemoller (Scot) of Nevada, C. W. Carnes (Bailey) of Aubrey, Texas and Geneva "Sissy" Carnes of Clifton, Texas.; and his siblings, Nell Spence of Hamilton, Texas, Noble Nowlain (Frances) of Hamilton and Dub Nowlain of San Angelo, Texas. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
