He was predeceased by : his parents, Axel Julius Amundson and Josephine Matilda Erickson; his son Richard Dale Amundson; and his siblings, Lee Arnell Amundson, Ervin Edgar Amundson, Selmer Almer Amundson, Alvin Ernest Amundson, Johnny Lloyd Amundson, Jewell Adeline Amundson Stanford and Doris Lauann Amundson Olsen.

He is survived by : his wife Fran Amundson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he loved.
