He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry Holt and Ruby Lee Holt; his brother Gary Holt; and his great grandchild Hudson Holt. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Riendfliesch; his brother Keith Holt (Andrea); his sister-in-law Theresa Holt; his children, John Douglass Holt II (Teri), James Michael Holt (Kristine) and Samantha Shoemaker (Robbie); and his stepson Travis Riendfliesch. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clifton Funeral Home (303 S Avenue F, Clifton, TX 76634). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (106 S Avenue G, Clifton, TX 76634).
