Martha Gay Bergman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha Gay Bergman in Clifton, Texas, born in Llano, Texas, who passed away on November 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dale Forehand and Ruth Forehand; her sister Christine; her brothers-in-law, Jim Hughbanks and Billy Fred Platt; her parents-in-law, Herman Richard and Dorothy Bergman; and her siblings-in-law, Dale and Angie Bergman.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Bergman of Clifton; her children, Richard Ray Bergman (Sharon) of Clifton and Cheryl Ann Baize (Bobby) of Mart; her siblings, Betty Platt of Rosanky, Patsy Irvin (Ed) of Granite Shoals and Dale "Butch" Forehand (Amy) of Rockwall; her siblings-in-law, Chris Bergman (Debra) of Marble Falls, Phillip Bergman (Doretha) of Brady and Dorothy Curtis (Mike) of Austin; her grandchildren, Preston Baize, Trevor Baize (Emily), Cooper Baize (Kendal), Shandy Burrow (Taylor) and Shelby Bergman; and her aunt Lillian Massey of Marble Falls. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (106 S Avenue G, Clifton, TX 76634).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clifton Food Bank, Clifton Civic Improvement Society, or Sunset Lutheran Ministries.
