It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Johnson of Clifton, Texas, born in Nacogdoches, Texas, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, O. E. Johnson and Gwen Johnson (Eddings); and his siblings, Marlys Thrash, Carolyn Russell and Orville Lynn Johnson.
He is survived by : his wife Sharon Johnson of Clifton; his children, Karmon Spurlock of Rusk, Kristi McRight (Sean) of Jacksonville, Shelly Willeford (Jeff) of Crawford and Matthew Barton (Sindy) of Cleburne; his sister Pamela Grimes (Fred); his mother-in-law Ardelle Hopper; his grandchildren, Brandon Corley (Susan), Hope Oliver (Brent), Makayla Jennings, Logan Walley, Tessa Traylor (Joel), Landon Walley, Jake Willeford, Luke Willeford, Macey Barton, Cohen Barton, Connor Barton and Mackenzie Barton; and his great grandchildren, Mattison, Anna, Audrie, Nash Oliver, Hudson and Kashton Graham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita Support, Inc. in honor of his great granddaughter Audrie Oliver.
