We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2022, at the age of 97, Sophia Erna Bernhardt of Clifton, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Emil Herzog and Sophie Herzog of Fedor, TX.; her former life partner Ernie A. Howard; and her spouse Calvert C. Bernhardt. She is survived by : her children, Jerry Howard (Shelia) of Hewitt, Gayle Bryant (Jim) of Clifton and Dianne Bernhardt of Meridian; her sister-in-law Janice Herzog; and her friend Regina Fehler. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 911 W. 3rd St., Clifton, TX 76634.
