He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank E. Smith and Viola Smith (Bronstad). He is survived by: his wife Betty Carlson of Cranfills Gap; his stepchildren, Sonja and Joe Meyer; his granddaughters, Katrina and Annalise; his children, Maren and Alan Nagorzanski; his grandchildren, Garrett and Jenna; his siblings, Don Smith and Dorothy Kneten; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Anderson, Paul, Jackie Anderson, Don Kiker and George Kiker; and his daughters, Pat (Maurice Johnson), Sandi Carlson, Lyndell and Kelly Carlson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clifton Funeral Home (303 S Avenue F, Clifton, TX 76634). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rock Church of Norse, TX (2680 County Rd 4145, Cranfills Gap, TX 76637).
