We bid farewell to Joy Marie Sain Carter (Clute, Texas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 24, 2026 at the age of 86. Joy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Sain and Lillian A. Sain; her siblings, John Sain and Josephine Kyser; and her son Christopher.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sonja Nelson (Bill) and Donna Reynolds (James); her daughter-in-law Penny Carter; her grandchildren, Bryan Reynolds (Tiffany), Michael Carter, Danielle Crutcher, Paul Crutcher (Belen) and Terry Crutcher; and her siblings, James C. Sain of Tulia, TX and Sally Allen of Ennis, TX. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
