He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd "Buster" Boyd and Maggie Jewell McKee Archer; his wife Mary; and his great grandchild Christopher Garrett Garcia, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Snider of Abilene and Angie Turner of Abilene; his siblings, Guy Archer of Stephenville, Ted Arher of Granbury and Sharron Merry of Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Melissa Boyd of Clyde, Christopher Garrett Garcia of Abilene and Michael Cole Garcia of Abilene; and his great grandchildren, Cash Garcia, Izrael Garcia, Karyssa Garcia Josiah Garcia and Emma Joe Celestina Olvera.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clyde Church of Christ (206 S 4th St, Clyde, TX 79510). The military honors was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Putnam Cemetery.
