He was predeceased by: his parents, Robbie Louise Black (Barbee) and Edward Black; his sisters, Kay Ledbetter and Brenda Ingram; his brothers-in-law, Otis Jordan, Edward Ledbetter (Tooter) and Ron Schmidt; his niece Brenda Ledbetter; and his daughter Kimberly Black Akers.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Black of Clyde; his sons, Jerry Don Black, Ashley and Bradley Black (Ashlie); his sisters, Vickie Schmidt of Bryan and Janet Porter of Abilene; his grandchildren, Brandon, Whitney Black, Kinnia Black, Jacob Hovey, Alicia, Grant Morris, Hagen, Hannah Black, Jessica Akers, Colton Price, Braiden Black, Larissa Hodnett, Meredith Akers and Coleson Black; and his great grandchild Wesson J. Black. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
