He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Palmer and Clare Bennett Palmer; his son Stephen Palmer; his sister Patty Moore; and his stepson Jay Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Preslar of Clyde; his daughter Cindy Easley (Kevin) of Abilene; his stepdaughter Karen Schaefer (Ken) of Round Rock; and his sister-in-law Peggy Preslar of Clyde. He is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
