He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlos Stephens and Hazel Hembree Stephens; his in-laws, Glenn and Jonadel Wood; his grandson Don Stephens; and his sister-in-law Myrna Robertson.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Stephens; his sons, Keith (Susie) of Wylie, Texas, Doug of Pottsboro, Texas and Robert (Laura) of Bailey, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Leanna (Jeff), Alaina (Zac), Glenn (Kristyn), Brandy (Robert), Christi (Toby), Jeff (Marla) and Jodi. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home (2022 N Center St, Bonham, TX 75418). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
