He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Pope Franklin and Gladys Lane Franklin; his wife Rosie Jone Searcy Franklin; his daughter Beverly Ann Franklin Brown; his wife Norma Jean Dubois Franklin; and his siblings, Laneve, Lovetta Franklin, Gladys Maudine Fleming, Amanda Lavelle Thomas, Cloretta Lois Massey, Kenneth Pope Franklin, Randolf Harold "Buddy" Franklin, Andy Franklin, Ralph Kent Franklin, Ray Franklin and Sam Derrell Franklin.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Franklin Palmer (Philip Palmer) and Curtis Wayne Franklin (Deanna Turnbow Franklin); his grandchild Aubrey Grace Palmer Hilligoss (Alan Hilligoss); his children, Hannah Joy Palmer, Evan Graham Palmer, Cody Wayne Franklin (Sophia), Danielle Franklin and Jarod Brown; his great grandchildren, Autumn Jane Hilligoss, Vivienne Wren Franklin and Callen Wayne Franklin; and his sister Anita McCoy.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home Chapel (105 Oak St, Clyde, TX 79510). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at the Clyde Cemetery (506 Hunt St, Clyde, TX 79510).
