He was predeceased by: his parents, Osie Williams and Josephine Williams (Hamilton); his former wives, Mattie Lee Williams and Sharon Ann Williams; his sons, Elvie J. Williams and Rodney Williams; and his siblings, Virginia French, Daniel, Paul and Joel Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Williams of Baird; his children, Walter Williams, Jr. (Elvie) of Eastland, Esther Osteen (Jim) of Carbon, Angie Honea (Eddie) of Cisco, Retha Williams of Ranger, Kimberly Bhatti of Abilene, Billy Ray Williams (Tandy) of Campbellton and Courtney Munoz (Efrin) of Hobbs; his stepchildren, Clarence Robert Hager (Shea) of Poteet, Mickey DeWayne Hager of New Castle, Linda Moss of Baird and Will Melton of Abilene; and his siblings, John Williams (Karen) of Miami, Florida, Mary Jackson (Will) of Carbon and Sarah Horton of Miami. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
