He was predeceased by : his parents, Mildred Katherine (Owen) and Sidney Harold Armstrong; his wife Thelma Bernice Armstrong; his children, Billie Jean David and Thomas Armstrong; his siblings, Lewis Allen Armstrong, Jimmy Lee Armstrong and Cheryl Wade; and his granddaughter Shannon Maxwell.

He is survived by : his children, Millie Ann Evans, Thelma Marie Colvin (Jeff), Stevie Armstrong and Allen Armstrong (Rudi Bunch); and his grandchildren, Anthony Maxwell, Michael Maxwell, Jason Warren, Rachel Schultz, Bradley Warren and Mark Allen Armstrong. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, three great- great grandchildren.
