He is survived by: his children, David Abbe Jr. (Terri), Chris Abbe (Whitney), William Gray Ill (Angela) and Mindy Smith (Mike); and his brothers, Danny Abbe (Kay) of Robinson and Don Abbe (Glenda) of North Carolina. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren.
