He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Short; his great-grandparent Opie; his wife Julika Short; his mother Edith Sullivan (Arndt); and his siblings, Erv Short, Margaret Ellis (Short) and Eileen.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Short of Wilton, WI, Bettina Short of Crockett, TX, Douglas Short (Trisha) of Ontario, WI, Melissa Rudd (David) of Aberdeen, NC and Jennifer Bounds of College Station, TX; his great grandchild Adalyn Millsap; and his brother William Short (Betty). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
