He was predeceased by: his former wife Evelyn; his parents, Everett Darling and Virginia Darling (Redmon); and his brother Jim Darling (Evelyn Redden Darling). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Darling (Kit); his sister Mary Brooks; his sister-in-law Ruth Darling; his son David; his daughter-in-law Jean Darling of Katy, TX.; his daughter Suzanne Darling of Richmond, VA; his granddaughters, Allison Darling Adams and Kate Darling of Katy, TX; and his great grandchildren, Emmet and Hugh Adams. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Texas A&M Foundation, the Corps of Cadets Association, or a favorite charitable organization.
