She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Lee Sandefer and Daisy Bertie Ward Sandefer; her siblings, Ulys "Buck" Sandefer and Nancy Jane Sandefer Carrico; her husband Wilkin Willis Howard Sr.; and her children, Lavelle "Tootsie" Howard Bean, Willa Myrel Howard Conley and Kenneth "Kip" Lee Howard Sr..
She is survived by: her sister Cindy Sandefer of Lumberton; and her children, Wilkin W. Howard Jr. (Patsy) of Corrigan, Bonnie Howard Schmidt (David) of Lumberton and Nancy Howard Ellis (Malcom) of Colmesneil. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren.
