We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2026, at the age of 83, Martha Rae Woods of Comanche, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Martha departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Martha may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Martha leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Boase and Corine Boase; her son Jay (Ward); and her siblings, Skeet, Joe, Ruth, Robert and Bruce.
She is survived by: her son Zack; and her sister Larue. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche (1508 N Austin St, Comanche, TX 76442). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Proctor Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Proctor Baptist Church (265 Co Rd 335, Dublin, TX 76468).
