He is survived by: his son Dustin Ryan Schnurbusch (Brodie Tara Schnurbusch) of Kemp; his grandchildren, Gunner Lee Sexton, Benelli Jane Sexton and Brenda Schnurbusch; his mother-in-law Shelby Chase; his sister-in-law Christy Herndon (Robert Herndon); and his nieces, Alexis Potter, Rachael Davis and Renee Picarsic of Virginia Beach, VA..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Undergraduate scholarship fund, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association.
