He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Lee Shuler; his daughter Diane Shuler; and his sister Judy Lee Shuler. He is survived by: his father Frederick William Shuler; his wife Shirley Shuler; his sons, Scott Shuler of Allen, Texas and Chris Shuler of Dunedin, Florida; his stepchildren, James Jones Jr. of Denton and Lisa Kongenske of Corinth; and his sister Ellen Elise Cooper of Carrollton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
