Barbara Helton Cotten Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Helton Cotten of Como, Texas, who passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar "Shorty" Helton and Ivy Helton (Fox) of Commerce, Texas; her son Chris Borden; and her siblings, Billy Helton of Commerece, TX, Lovella Horton of Commerce, TX, Elizabeth Bishop of Fairley, TX, Margie Marks of Lancaster, TX, J. W. Helton of Dickenson, TX and Faye Gestes of Colorado Springs, CO.

She is survived by: her husband Herbert Cotten of Como, TX; her daughter Lori Whitworth (Anthony) of Kilgore, TX; her stepchildren, Tim Cotten (Teresa), Troy Cotten (Sherry) and Tracey Blair (Chris); and her grandsons, Jake Whitworth of Virginia and Josh Whitworth of Kilgore, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
