He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde C. Blakely and Josephine Hartgrove; his wife Margie; and his brother Jerry Blakely. He is survived by: his children, Joell Shearer (Phil), Stacy Morris (Steve) and Steven (Ashley); his grandchildren, Mady (Marshall), Cally (Dominque), Lance (Juliana), Tony, Kari and Elizabeth; his stepgrandson Brandon; and his great grandchildren, Mary, Claire and Ayda.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Refuge Church, reflecting Buck's lifelong commitment to the ministry and people he so dearly loved.
